Short, and written to be read rather than skimmed past.
What is collected
Two things. First, standard server records created whenever a page is requested: IP address, approximate time, the page requested, and the browser's user-agent string. These are ordinary web-server logs and are kept for a limited period for security and traffic measurement.
Second, anything you choose to send us. If you email the address on the contact page, we hold that message and your address so we can reply.
Analytics and cookies
The site uses aggregate analytics to count page views and referrers. No profile is built about you as an individual, and no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are set by us.
What is never done
Your data is not sold, rented or traded. It is not shared with hotels, advertisers or data brokers. We disclose information only where the law requires it.
Opting out
You can block or clear cookies in your browser, or use its do-not-track or private-browsing settings; the site works normally without them. To have an email exchange and the address it came from deleted from our records, ask at editor@bigfootballsilk.com and we will remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version appears on this page.
